Jay Light is a comedian, filmmaker, and writer from Dallas, TX. He attended Elon University in North Carolina, where he hosted Elon's game show "Win Stuff!" and opened for touring comedians like Jim Tavaré. His short film "Rocketeer" received the Consumer's Choice award in the 2012 Sprite Films competition. His interests include jokes and cheeseburgers.

Prior to doing Stand-Up, JP had the opportunity to perform
with Diana Ross on tour (Radio City Music Hall and Universal City). He also performed on TV first on several Dean Martin shows and then with ABC and CBS. Now he is enjoying doing Stand-Up and having fun.

Raised on the East Coast and moved to California after graduating from state college in '93 and right after ''94 Earthquake. Obviously, I'm no rocket scientist, so I went to Law School and obtained my J.D. in '99 and passed the state bar of California. I am a licensed attorney and Litigator (under maiden name Ruggiero) representing insurance companies within the State of California. During a Trial in 1999, I met my husband (my opposing counsel) in court. We began dating that day and were married a year later. I converted to Judaism from Catholicism (my parents were pissed). We remain married and have 3 very active and amazing boys. In case you are wondering, yes, I won at Trial in '99. I always wanted to try stand-up comedy but knew nothing about the when and how.
