Calling all college students (future unemployed waiters)! If you think you have what it takes to be funny, Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant invites you to our 2nd Annual Flappers College Comedy Contest, sponsored by Flappers Comedy University (where learning is a joke) which takes place at both our Burbank & Claremont clubs during the month of March. Audiences and guest celebrity judges will vote on who will win $500 in cash and prizes (.001% of your student loan payments), and all shows will feature special guest headliners as seen on Comedy Central, HBO, and MTV. Preliminary rounds will be held in Claremont on Wednesday March 12th at 8pm & Burbank in the Yoohoo Room on Thursday March 13th at 9:30pm, Friday March 14th at 11:30pm, and Saturday March 15th at 11:30pm. The top three winners from each preliminary round will perform in the final round on Thursday, March 27th at 10pm in the Mainroom at Flappers Burbank. In the final round, the first place winner receives $300 plus a paid spot at the club, the second place winner receives $125 plus a $50 Flappers Gift Card and a guest spot at the club, and the third place winner receives $75 plus a $50 Flappers Gift Card and a guest spot at the club. Additional prizes, including scholarships for Flappers University classes, will also be awarded. Comedian Taylor Tomlinson TOP10 LAST COMIC STANDING, SAN DIEGO COMEDY FESTIVAL, MADHOUSE COMEDY CLUB
Taylor Tomlinson started doing stand up comedy when she was just sixteen years old. Since then, she has performed at comedy clubs, churches, schools, coffee shops, and other questionable, rented spaces around Southern California, opening for headliners like Karen Rontowski, Dat Phan and Michael Jr. She has appeared on UT-TV, JCTV, TBN, and been involved in benefits for programs such as Breaking Chains, The Eden Project, and various other fundraising events.
