Comedian Derek Luetjen SECRET CITY COMIC SOCIETY, FLAPPERS REGULAR, IRVINE IMPROV, STANFORD AND SONS,
Derek is a young comedian who is new to the LA area. He started stand up shortly after college and it has been his passion ever since. Starting out in Overland Park, Kansas was a great stepping stone but with the lack of opportunities he knew he had to move. He has a simple goal on stage; to have fun and make the audience laugh so hard they are sore the next day. BOOK
After falling in love with comedians like Bill Hicks, Joe Rogan, Bill Burr, and Doug Stanhope I began to do stand up at an open Mic night in Palm Desert CA, a place called The Hood Bar and Pizzeria where, most people just wanted to see the next musical act, this is where I learned to bomb. After moving to Claremont CA and discovering actual comedy clubs, all those performances before are serving their purpose. Most common topics include working in the service industry, drugs, and the woes of stupid people. BOOK
Joseph Aceves graduated from Cal State Long Beach earning a degree in Film and Television production with a focus on directing. His senior thesis "Jobless" has been recently submitted to film festivals internationally. Although pushed towards directing, Joseph´s passion belongs to comedic writing. He consistently works on the craft of comedy by frequenting ego humbling open mics. His comedy improvisation background at the Upright Citizen´s Brigade shapes how he approaches the art of creating. Although his biography writing skills lacks the edge of Jonas Hill apology, he promises he is entirely more interesting, edgy, and humorous in person. WEBSITE | |
Comedian Tom Lefler UNCLE CLYDE'S , AUNTIE CLAIRE'S, BURBANK COMEDY FESTIVAL
Little is known about Tom´s early life. Apparently born on April 2, 1954; alternative dates include 1960, 1962, and (improbably) 1985. As a teenager, he worked his way across the Midwest as a part-time powder monkey and dent puller. Then, seeking a better life for himself, he became a convicted felon in 1979. Drifting into politics, by 1992 Tom was surprised to find himself elected Vice President of PAP, (Parent Against Parents) an organization of soccer Moms with little or no purpose in life. Finally, intent upon making a living wage, he faxed himself to California, where he now works as a stand up comedian. BOOK
