Kathleen, also known as Kate, McLeod was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She has lived in the same house her whole life and has had the same parents. After graduating high school, she was studying to become an interpreter of Russian and German, but the magic of Hollywood distracted her and she went to acting school. She was constantly getting laughs and was told she was naturally funny. This prompted her to try stand-up comedy and find out what makes people laugh. She liked it and says as long as people like her jokes she will continue to tell them. She likes Jack Benny, Bob Newhart, Mitch Hedberg and Don Rickles.
