Gifted with a unique, distinctive voice, Ush surprises audiences and is regularly asked, "Is that your real voice?" Yes, it is. She really does talk that way, on and off stage and is often given the sincerest form of flattery–imitation! Her distinctive voice and her quirky, cute, and seemingly-clueless exterior has earned her the nickame "The Indian Valley Girl", even though she grew up in Mississippi. Ush has been writing stand-up comedy since she was ten years old, always fascinated with the universal humor, irony, and folly in her personal life. In fact, her personal issues are such a never-ending source of problems, solutions, and laughter that she refers to them as Ushues! Her talents made her a Semi-Finalist in both NBC´s Stand-up for Diversity and The Funniest Person in Houston competitions. She is also featured in the indie documentary "Open Mic" by New Roads Films (post-production).
