In December 2011, Will Ryan & the Cactus County Cowboys were proclaimed "The Official Singing Cowboy Band of Hollywood" by the Southern California Motion Picture Council. Their commissioned score for 1923's Best Picture "The Covered Wagon" was premiered last summer at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. Will Ryan has received two Gold Records, the BMI Pioneer Award, the Annie Award and was nominated for a Writers Guild Award and an Emmy. Will's buckaroos include Westy Westenhofer, John Reynolds, Katie Cavera, Chloe Feoranza and Benny Brydern. And, of course, Cimarron, Wonder Horse of the Cinema.
