She made her comedy name in San Francisco during the AIDS crisis of the early 90's in San Francisco. She was ´out´ because she couldn´t imagine herself saying, "my boyfriend" in her jokes. She is the ´gay Terry Gross,´ hosting a weekly LGBT radio interview show, "Out In The Bay," on NPR station KALW in San Francisco. Her radio career includes stints as a rock jock, news anchor, reporter, producer, talent consultant. She narrated a film that won an Academy Award, "Deadly Deception," and was an actor with a screen credit in Ron Howard´s"Ed TV." Her solo show, "It´s All The Rage," won Best One-Woman Show, NYC 2011 which has an extended run through May 2012 at The Marsh in San Francisco where it was developed. Now that it´s ok to be gay, she´s back to stand-up.
