Paula Johnson started doing stand-up in 2007 after accidentally winning a comedy class at a charity auction. She worked very hard in the class and wrote her term paper on the importance of hydration under high-wattage club lighting. Her stand-up teacher was surprised because she hadn't assigned a term paper.
While relatively new to performing, Paula has been writing humor for more than 20 years. She's written funny speeches, funny articles, funny web content, and more than 40 funny radio spots. In 2008, Paula co-founded The Joke Gym which has become one of the most popular stand-up comedy open mics in Los Angeles. More than a dozen out-of-town comics have become hopelessly lost trying to find their way to Arcadia.
Paula loves performing clean comedy at charity fundraisers, corporate events and clubs.
