Have you watched a cartoon or listened to a radio ad or heard the announcer in the trailers for your favorite movies and thought to yourself 'I wonder if I could do that?' Well, wonder no more - this one-day workshop is your perfect introduction to the world of Voice Over!

Because as a comic you're already performing, you know that it's not always what you say, but how you say it. As comics, you understand timing and tone, the importance of emphasizing key words, and how to effectively use your body while speaking. These same skills are essential in voice over. Stand up comics have a keen sense of timing, well developed ears for humor and a lack of inhibition. These are highly sought after skills in the world of voice-over, and can give you a leg up on the competition.

We will cover the basics of voice over and help you to understand what makes YOUR voice stand out from the crowd. We'll give you an introduction to all of the different genres of V.O. and where YOUR voice fits best, from commercials to animation and more, as well as showing you some of the basics in breaking down copy, making strong choices, and understanding V.O. mic technique.

Seating for this unique opportunity is extremely limited - don't miss out!
Moira Quirk

Nickelodeon's 'GUTS' 'Life as a Teenage Robot' 'Hey Arnold!' 'The Wild Thornberrys' 'Oh Yeah! Cartoons'

Moira Quirk´s first role in America was on Nickelodeon´s popular 'GUTS' and 'Global GUTS' as 'Mo the Referee' (kind of ironic considering she knows jack diddly-doo-dah about sports). She hosted other TV specials and many, many live events for Nickelodeon all across America and in the UK and can be heard as the fashionable yet nasty Brit Krust on the Nicktoon 'My Life as a Teenage Robot.' Moira has lent her voice to many cartoons and also audiobooks, podcasts and shockingly creepy videogames (she was the maniacal Daniella in 'Haunting Ground' and Adriana Livingstone in 'Mercenaries').
