Sunda made international headlines in 2007 when she was sued by her very own mother-in-law, for jokes she used in her standup comedy. The media ate up the story and Sunda was plastered all over TV, radio and print. In the end, the judge dismissed the suit which was a win for all comedians who are protected by the First Amendment. "People say: ´Sunda, you didn´t win that case, it was dismissed! Why do you think you won?´ I know I won. She´s dead!"
