Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Ali Lu's first word was, 'why?" After disappointing her parents by not going to college, she worked for FOX and NBC affiliates in Anchorage before being miraculously recruited into an upper management position she was definitely not qualified for by the FOX Broadcasting Company. She was relocated to L.A. in 2013 just as the content streaming revolution hit, rendering her position useless. The good news is, she still lives right next to the FOX lot, so it's not painful at all! Surviving on game show winnings and the love of her parents, she's been able to pursue her true calling as a comedic writer and stand-up comic. She co-hosts Sunday School with Amanda Smith, and is currently working on how to get white people to stop speaking Spanish to her because she is Filipino.
