Born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Memphis, TN, Renee Pezzotta describes herself as a "very confused Italian." She studied acting at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and H.B. Studios in New York. Her journey into stand-up comedy began on a whim when she booked herself at the New York Comedy Club. After doing her ten-minute set, she was hooked! Stand-up eventually led her to Los Angeles, where she has since made her home. Currently, she can be seen recurring as Smokey on the Paramount+ show "FRASIER."
